Welcome to the Bristol Classical Guitar Society. Our mission is to promote and extend the profile of the classical guitar in the south west and to bring together players, makers, composers and enthusiasts of all levels. Our meetings include solo and ensemble practice and performance, seminars and masterclasses; our Concert Series presents internationally acclaimed performers. We would be delighted to have you at any of our meetings and events. We meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7:45 pm.

From October 2011 our meeting place will be The Brunswick Club Brunswick Square, the next square along from Portland Square.

Berta is promoting the 2nd Barrios Worldwide Web Competition for 18-30-year-old players of Barrios. Contestants place a video of themselves performing each piece on Youtube; the judges assess the performances online. Opens today until July. There’s $13,000 prize money, with the final round held at the National Theatre in Asuncion, Paraguay, all expenses paid.
