BCGS CONCERT SERIES – PAVEL RALEV Described by John Williams as “a poet of the guitar”, the London-based Bulgarian classical guitarist Pavel Ralev is establishing a strong presence on the international concert platform. In 2023, he was conferred as an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, in recognition of his “significant contribution” to the music profession. Pavel made his Wigmore Hall debut in November 2023, under the auspices of the Julian Bream Trust (“an unforgettable performance”, Gendai Guitar Magazine). Born in Croatia, Dukić has won numerous international competitions, establishing himself as one of the most decorated classical guitarists of his generation. His repertoire spans from Baroque to contemporary music, often showcasing the works of composers like J.S. Bach, Joaquín Rodrigo, and Astor Piazzolla. A passionate educator, Dukić has inspired countless students through his teaching at prestigious institutions such as the Hochschule für Musik in Aachen, Germany, and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, Netherlands.
