Helen James

Helen James previously led the BCGS Ensemble group, and we continue to play her wonderful arrangements. She is widely known in the region as a teacher of classical and folk guitar and for her involvement in such innovative musical projects as Brejeiro and Duo Recado. Helen writes, arranges, and records vocal and instrumental music and enjoys folk singing. www.helenjames.net

Tony Lewis

Tony Lewis is a founding member of the Bristol Classical Guitar Society and has been instrumental in its success.

Tony served on the committee for almost the entire history of the BCGS, and made it his mission to ensure that visiting artists were welcomed with open arms, and that things were always running smoothly.

He continues to play duets with fellow BCGS member Tim and regularly performs solo both with Tim and solo at members’ concerts.
